Half Price Books recently teamed up with the Assistance League of Austin in Texas to provide books to teens in the Austin, Manor, and Del Valle area through the Operation School Bell Program. The program provides students with a week’s worth of new clothing, shoes, a hygiene kit, and two books. Julie, our local bibliomaniac, delivered 2,000 titles to the program’s headquarters and we couldn’t be prouder to offer support to an organization committed to such an amazing cause: making students’ days brighter, their self-esteem higher, and their ability to learn better because they felt they belonged.
